Artificial Intelligence and Data Processing

Estate Plan Studio uses artificial intelligence to support product features such as document drafting, assistant chat, matter summaries, and communication drafting. Our AI processing follows security controls designed to reduce privacy risk and comply with applicable obligations:

  • Data Minimization and Anonymization: For sensitive workflows, we apply anonymization/tokenization and placeholder-based prompting before AI requests. Some workflows may include limited context needed to provide the feature.
  • No Training on Your Data by Us: We do not use your data to train our own models. We use API-based AI providers and configure account settings to limit provider training use where available under provider terms.
  • No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Server-Side Processing: All AI processing occurs on our secure servers. We never expose API keys or send data from your browser directly to AI services. This ensures that your data remains under our control throughout the entire process.
  • Security Controls: AI requests are protected through authentication, security validation, and monitoring controls.

Summary:

We use AI to power specific product features, including drafting and assistant experiences. We apply privacy and security controls such as anonymization, placeholder strategies, and access controls where appropriate. We do not sell personal information, and we use service providers under contractual and technical safeguards.

AI output can be incorrect and should be reviewed before reliance. You remain in control of your account data and document decisions.
